The project went really well, all of my pages look exactly like the real one! Every time I would finish a page I would sit back and compare to the real one, and made sure it looked perfect, this is where I made a connection of making sure I have that feeling for every final product, and not showing anything I didn't feel as good about.

In this internship, I really learned that my work had to be PERFECT. My work was not just for me anymore, other people are counting on me to do the work the best it could be, and if that doesn't happen you let yourself down, and everyone else. Its a really big eyeopener of me to see how work work differentiates from school work. My contribution to the company was designing mockups of several pages of their websites, to make it really easy for them to just hand it off to a developer without worrying about them doing the job wrong, because they have this guide. It makes them more flexible to change their website and add new products. This internship was meaningful to me because this was in the actual field of work that I want to be in. It gave me a great idea of what to expect when I get out of collage and pursue a career in this field.

In regard to collage, this internship really motivated me to really want to pursue the collage rout. Its just nice to have that under your belt, and the collages I have been looking at have really interesting marketing and business courses, witch would look really good for a resume. I would still love to work here in the future, and I will most likely end up applying to work part time here because I really enjoy the work they do and I would like to do more for the company. In fact, I was already offered to stay for a paid internship for the rest of the summer, and of course I'm not passing that up!

During this internship I think my work habits have grown so much in a short amount of time. In school I did my best to get it done at school, but in my head I always had "more time". In this case, I put my all into everything I do, and get it done as fast as I can, while still creating great work. I really enjoy having all the blame on myself because I work at my pace, and if something messes up I know who's fault it is. I always go up to Oliver (my mentor) if I have any questions at all, and I am very comfortable with all my co-workers, so I always ask them for help. Im pretty caught up on what to do in my projects so I tend not to have too much questions.

At this point in my internship all my questions are answered and I understand what my role is here. I really made a connection to the company when I stayed all day on a 6 hour webcast and monitored the chat, and actually enjoyed watching the webcast. The webcast was about best selling books and using them to sell your product, and another connection I made with that was I was able to go home and give tips to my mom (who is already a best selling author) and help make it easier to do it in her next book. One funny story is I was expecting to have to ban someone or delete comments, but I ended up not even getting 1. Ive learned that they are not a marketing company, but a company that gives you the tools to be a marketer, even if you are not good at computers. Im hoping to become a better marketer by the end of this, because that is my passion.
